Available courses:

Introduction to international learning

This course will teach you about:

  • the benefits and challenges of working with a partner school in another country
  • how global citizenship and international collaboration can enhance learning
  • preparing for effective international learning
  • how to gain head teacher commitment, plan next steps and more.

Intercultural and global awareness

This course will encourage you to reflect on your own cultural bias, values and beliefs, as well as those of others, by exploring:

  • identity, culture, global awareness and how they contribute to intercultural practice
  • your own level of intercultural fluency and capacity to support this area of work
  • how to respond positively when core values and beliefs are tested.

Education for global citizenship

This course will further develop your understanding of global citizenship by exploring:

  • its relevance for your students compared with the views of teachers from around the world
  • themes and ideas for global citizenship and international practice
  • best practice teaching techniques to support this area of learning.

ICT for international learning

This course consists of three modules to help you make the most of ICT for international communication and learning in a safe environment.

Learn how to use ICT for:

  • international professional networking
  • international projects
  • classroom activities (e-safety).

Protecting children in your school and on international projects

This course is suitable for:

  • school teachers who want to learn about child protection
  • staff with experience of international school partnerships work.

The course materials are based on international child protection law and international research. The primary source of inspiration and information is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). 

This course is designed as a basic introduction to child protection within schools. It is informative only and does not offer a certificate.
