The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation estimates that about one in nine of the world's population (approximately 795 million people) were suffering from chronic undernourishment in the years from 2014-2016.

The continued rapid increase in the world’s population, along with global issues such as climate change, present great challenges for our future. Unless we can find innovative solutions to increase food production across the globe.

This resource contains two challenges to help pupils learn about measures being taken in different countries to increase food production and alleviate hunger.
