Lucy McKenzie, Quodlibet XXXV, 2014, 250 x 300 cm, Oil on canvas. Courtesy of the artist and Cabinet, London.

Lucy McKenzie has created a different type of self-portrait in Quodlibet XXXV by painting her clothes and things she owns to represent herself. Why do you think she has chosen these objects and what do they tell us about the artist?

Find 3-5 objects in your home to represent you. They might include something about your hobbies, interests or heritage. Arrange them into a display and take a photograph of them.

You could then go on to create a still life image of these objects in a form of your choice, depending on what materials you have to hand.
